About the Book

Education 4.0 refers to the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on education, encompassing the integration of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and virtual/augmented reality, into educational processes and systems. Education 4.0 emphasizes personalized and adaptive learning experiences, collaboration and connectivity, digital literacy, and the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.

Education 4.0 represents a shift towards technologically enhanced and digitally driven education paradigms that aim to prepare learners for the challenges and opportunities of the rapidly evolving digital age. In our proposed book titled - "Education 4.0: Trends, Challenges, and Prospects" - we intend to explore the transformative impact of the fourth industrial revolution on education. This book will navigate the trends shaping modern learning environments, the challenges educators face in adopting new technologies, and the promising prospects for the future of education. The book will explore Education 4.0 within the context of rapid technological advancements and societal shifts, examining key trends such as personalized learning, data-driven decision-making, and integrating artificial intelligence and immersive technologies.

  • All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another book, journal, or conference.

  • Submit an initial proposal, including the title of the chapter and the abstract. The deadline for submission of the initial proposal (500 words) is February 28, 2025.

  • The full chapter is due by May 1, 2025.

  • The length of the chapter should be 7,000-8,000 words.

  • The paper should be formatted according to the template provided. The template will be sent to the authors after the initial proposal is accepted.

About the Editors

​Dr. Eriona Çela is a leading legal luminary in Albania and a distinguished academic, currently serving as a Full-Time Assistant Professor at the University of New York Tirana, where she is a prominent member of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. With a profound background in law and language education, Dr. Çela has established herself as a key figure in legal academia in Albania. She holds a Ph.D. in Teaching Methodology of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) from the University of Bari "Aldo Moro" in Italy, enhancing her expertise in both legal and academic contexts. She also possesses degrees in English Language and Law from the University of Tirana and Business Academy College in Albania. Dr. Çela’s legal expertise spans Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, European Integration, Law, and Legal English, among other interdisciplinary interests. Her research and academic contributions emphasize the evolving legal frameworks necessary to address technological advancements and European legal integration. With extensive experience teaching legal subjects and training legal professionals, Dr. Çela has taught at multiple renowned institutions and brings her expertise in translating and interpreting complex legal, business, and educational documents. She has also held significant administrative roles within the Albanian Ministry of Education and Sport, contributing to legal reforms, integration projects, and educational quality assurance. Dr. Çela is actively involved in the academic and legal communities as a managing editor of various editorial boards, and her numerous publications and conference presentations reflect her leadership in advancing legal education and policy in Albania and internationally.

Dr. Philip Eappen is an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management at Cape Breton University and serves as the Director of Clinical Services and Transition to Community at the Breton Ability Center (currently on a leave of absence). With over a decade of experience in hospital and healthcare management operations, Dr. Eappen has an extensive academic background. Prior to joining Cape Breton University, he taught healthcare management at the University of Toronto, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and Fanshawe College. He has also worked as Director of Health Services and Chief Administrator of Healthcare Operations at the American University of Nigeria and as a faculty member at other universities and colleges. Dr. Eappen holds a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management, a Bachelor of Nursing, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in International Health. He is a board director for various organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, Myeloma Canada, and Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplasia Canada. Additionally, Dr. Eappen is a long-serving member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Canadian College of Health Leaders. With research interests focused on healthcare innovations and healthcare informatics, Dr. Eappen has published numerous articles, book chapters, and books on these subjects in recent years.

Assoc. Prof. Narasimha Rao Vajjhala is working as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the University of New York Tirana, Albania. He had previously worked as the Chair of Computer Science and Software Engineering programs at the American University of Nigeria. He is a senior member of ACM and IEEE. He is the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the International Journal of Risk and Contingency Management (IJRCM). He is also a member of the Risk Management Society (RIMS), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has over 23 years of experience teaching programming and database-related courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels in Europe and Africa. He has also worked as a consultant in European technology firms and has experience participating in EU-funded projects. He has completed a Doctorate in Information Systems and Technology (United States); holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Applications (India), and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Information Systems (Switzerland).
